Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Creative Gift Discovery website at discover.crtvchurch.com (the "Service"), operated by CRTVCHURCH ("we," "our," or "us"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information. By using the Service, you also agree to our Privacy Policy.

1. The Service

The Service is a free online assessment that identifies your "creative spiritual gift" based on a 15-question quiz. The Service is provided for personal reflection, encouragement, educational purposes, and connection within the creative church community.

The Service is not a diagnostic tool and is not a substitute for professional spiritual direction, pastoral counseling, therapeutic care, or any other professional advice.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

If you are between 13 and 18, you should review these Terms with a parent or guardian.

3. Your Responsibilities

When using the Service, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information (such as a real email address)
  • Use the Service only for personal, non-commercial purposes
  • Not attempt to disrupt the Service, including through automated tools, scraping, bots beyond legitimate user interaction, or denial-of-service attempts
  • Not attempt to reverse-engineer the assessment scoring or content
  • Not reproduce, redistribute, or commercialize the assessment questions, gift descriptions, or other proprietary content without our prior written permission

4. Intellectual Property and Ownership

All content on the Service, including the assessment questions, scoring methodology, gift names and descriptions, written copy, graphics, photography, and brand assets, is owned by CRTVCHURCH or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

Users retain ownership of the information they provide through the assessment. CRTVCHURCH retains all rights, title, and interest in the assessment methodology, scoring system, framework, result descriptions, content, and related intellectual property. Assessment results are provided for personal use and may not be reproduced, repackaged, sold, or distributed in a commercial product without our prior written consent.

You may share the Service link freely. You may share your own assessment results, including the shareable result image we provide, on social media or with others. You may not reproduce the assessment questions, gift descriptions, or any other proprietary content elsewhere without our prior written consent.

The 7 gift framework draws on Romans 12, Ephesians 4, and 1 Corinthians 12. The biblical text itself is in the public domain; our specific interpretation, framework, naming, descriptions, and accompanying content are original work owned by CRTVCHURCH.

5. Email Communications

By submitting your email address, you consent to receive:

  • Your assessment results email
  • Periodic communications from CRTVCHURCH, including newsletters, new content, and related offerings

You may unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time using the link in any email we send. Unsubscribing will stop marketing communications but may not affect transactional emails directly related to a request you have made.

6. No Spiritual or Professional Advice

The assessment and its results are intended for personal reflection and creative encouragement. They are not:

  • Spiritual direction or pastoral counseling
  • Mental health, psychological, or therapeutic advice
  • Professional career, vocational, or financial counseling
  • A definitive statement about your identity, calling, or spiritual gifts as understood within any specific Christian tradition

We do not guarantee that the assessment results will accurately reflect any individual's spiritual gifts, creative abilities, personality, calling, ministry role, vocational path, or future outcomes. Results are intended solely as a reflective and educational tool and should not be relied upon as a definitive evaluation of any person.

If you are working through significant personal, spiritual, or mental health questions, please consult a qualified pastor, counselor, or other professional.

7. Your Data Rights

To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, please review our Privacy Policy or contact us directly at nikgoodner@crtvchurch.com.

8. Third-Party Services and Links

The Service integrates with third-party service providers for email delivery, data storage, bot protection, hosting, and analytics. Those services are governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for the practices, policies, or content of third-party services.

The Service may link to external sites (such as Spotify playlists or job listing platforms). We are not responsible for the content, availability, or practices of those external sites.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.

We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free from harmful components.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CRTVCHURCH and its officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising from or related to your use of the Service.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from or related to the Service will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars ($100.00).

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CRTVCHURCH and its officers, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms.

You may stop using the Service at any time. To request deletion of your information, see our Privacy Policy.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top and, for material changes, notify users by email or a notice on the Service.

Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.

Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms or the Service will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Orange County, Florida, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and CRTVCHURCH regarding the Service.
